I, saliently, misspoke referring last week to the German Idealists in the Process and Reality context.

Locke and Hume are, of course not German, but fellow countrymen of Whitehead. Kant is German and generally recognized as the first of the German Idealists – following the work of the English Locke and Hume. So far as I understand it from other Whitehead related sources Schelling, not Hegel, is regarded as the last word from these folks.
