Topic: Studying Heschel in a Time of Polarization, Bloodshed, and Warfare

Presenter(s): Or Rose

In this presentation, we will explore the life, work, and legacy of Abraham Joshua Heschel (1907-1972). Rabbi Heschel was a gifted scholar and theologian who spent much of the last decade of his life engaged in various dialogical and justice efforts. As we reflect on Heschel’s unique contributions to North American religious and civic life, we will contemplate possible lessons for our fractured world today.
