  • in reply to: Benjamin Dueck Introduction #22854

Hi Benjamin, Academic librarians are amazing based on the few I have had the opportunity to work with! I am sincerely interested in any primary sources you utilize for astrology. I was a skeptic for so many years but have been increasingly intrigued over the past year. I don’t know much about Kriya Yoga but am interested in learning. I spent a good deal of time with the Yoga Sutras this year. I look forward to your contributions to the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Charlie Arnett Introduction #22853

Hi Charlie, From the bottom of my heart, chair yoga with seniors is such an important and beautiful practice! I have often wondered about combining the chair yoga (or very carefully laying down on the floor) with the amazing music Dr. McDaniel provides at nursing/care/retirement homes. You have studied some amazing thinkers. I’m glad to hear you identify as a liberal Methodist, having two generations of Methodist ministers in my family. I look forward to your contributions to the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Ryan White self-intro #22836

Hi Ryan, Thank you for your work abroad with the Presbyterian Church. I look forward to your contributions in the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Hi… from Lynndal #22835

Hi Lynndal, It’s great to see a fellow therapist; I believe there are several of us, including the Dean. I am a psychologist but have found myself moving away from the field. I look forward to your contributions in the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Tom Gates (Lancaster PA) #22834

Hi Tom, Your work with immigrants and refugees is simply amazing! I have frequently enjoyed delightful discussions with Quakers. I look forward to your contributions in the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Dennis Wade Coffey (DWC) #22833

Hi DWC, I interviewed for a position at Appalachian State University awhile back. Boone seems like a wonderful place to live! I look forward to your contribution in the program. Allen

  • in reply to: Joel Foster Introduction #22832

Hi Joel, I’m excited to see your contributions in the class. Youth ministry is often challenging; God bless you! Victor Wembanyama is amazing watch! Allen

  • in reply to: David Slater #22813

Hi David, You have a wealth of knowledge. I am hoping the program presents an opportunity for you to share knowledge about some indigenous ways of knowing in Australia. I look forward to your contributions. Allen

  • in reply to: Brian, a little brother. #22812

Hi Brian, It’s great to have you in the program. I would have to conclude that you are a visionary and wouldn’t know where to begin with understanding organizational wisdom. Living in Arkansas, I am frequently challenged by conservative theology. I have challenged myself to always be open to dialogue but also to protect my energy when there is not an opportunity to learn. Allen

  • in reply to: John Fahey self-introduction #22803

Hi John, It sounds like you’ve had some rigorous and meaningful learning opportunities. I was a PK, so I had to go to church or negatively impact my father; it certainly affected my developmental trajectory. While I have not had a substance use addiction, we all have addictions. I have only recently been delving deeper into recovery approaches. I am impressed by Richard Rohr’s Breathing Under Water. I look forward to your contributions to the class. Allen

  • in reply to: Dean’s Welcome #22802

I’m very excited about what you bring to the program. I’m going to have a lot of fun deciding on the and topic and form for the final project.

  • in reply to: Survey of Gift Economics Literature #20224

Thanks so much! I had some minimal concern that it might not be relevant since there have not been previous responses. I definitely look forward to your thoughts!

  • I would suggest that colonization has a direct link to egoism.

  • in reply to: Allen Eason #19448

Hi Nicholas, I go by my middle name Allen, but my first name is Evan. One person. Thanks for your support!

  • in reply to: Externalities: Reflecting on the concrete and local #19430

I really appreciated your assessment of disciplinary abstractions being treated as real and that communities are often targeted by externalities.
