You guys are making me work too hard. I was thinking about exploring “self” in one of my papers. I knew from years ago that Eric Voegelin had some words of warning, but I forgot. (EV took courses with Whitehead and was influenced.) Here is a line that formulates the EV position (too) simply: “..the self is a barrier to the infinite experience of awe and the transcendent order of being.” The self is a bit of consciousness that convinces you to stay separate and look no further. You need to drop the self in order to experience the world of consciousness.

Oh, never mind. I wasn’t looking at the session assignments carefully. I do see that videos are assigned for each session.
