Welcome aboard! Excited to learn with and from you….

  • in reply to: Charlie Arnett Introduction #22877

    Hi Charlie,

We’ve read many of the same authors (Borg, Tillich, etc.) in attempts to make sense of and find a spiritual home. Very happy to see that you’ve landed in a place identifying as a liberal Methodist. I’m looking forward to learning more with/from you in the group.

    All the best,

    Lynndal

    Hi Dennis,

Love your last line as your approach to life. “to understand as much as possible.”

Looking forward to hearing more and relating to you in the cohort.

    All the best,

    Lynndal

  • in reply to: Benjamin Dueck Introduction #22874

    Hi Benjamin…

Nice to read your intro/bio. I got an early wakeup call to other ways of looking at the world/religion in a comparative religions class in community college. I still recall the phrase “Tat Tvam Asi” (Thou art That) from that class and non-dual/Advaita type philosophy has been an interest ever since.

Looking forward to learning from/with you in the group.

Zhenbao… very nice to meet you and read your introduction. Funny enough, I am a clinical supervisor of psychotherapy and work closely as a supervisor for many students at CIIS.

I was introduced to Huayen Buddhism through a book called “The Dawn of Enlightenment” by Venerable Haiyun Jimeng and translated by Tony Prince. That led me to a book on process philosophy and Huayen Buddhism that introduced me to process thought.

I look very much forward to sharing space with you in the group.

    All the best,

    Lynndal

  • in reply to: Chris Hughes, introduction #22871

    Hi Chris,

Love that you have the mindfulness part of your backgrounds in addition to all the other areas you’ve immersed yourself in. I spent a couple years at a Zen Buddhist monastery as a resident student and have had a mindfulness/meditation practice since the early 90s. Glad to have you in the cohort.
