I liken panentheism to the function of an A 440 tuning fork. The energy the 440 cycles-per-second tuning fork experiences when tapped on a knee (my favorite body part for tuning fork tapping) results in a reciprocity of impulses from one tine to the other back-and-forthingly that produce the note A used by most American oboeists when tuning up an orchestra. Also, if you touch the end of the tuning fork while it’s tinging to a front tooth, the 440A goes “inside” your head and you can teach yourself to match pitch and sing it whenever you want. Then, at a bar happy-hour where there are some musicians present, you can say,”I have perfect pitch–I bet I can hit A 440 for a free drink.” Depending on how many musicians are in the bar, you can leave the bar an hour later, a lot happier.

Dr. D, et al:
Hmmm. RE the “ahistoricity” of revelation. To be sure, revelation is situated in history; but that’s after the revelation becomes objectively immortal. My understanding of revelation is that it comes “out of nowhere [now here],” if it’s truly revelation. Perhaps revelation is an emergent part of process (mental pole?) and not an evolutionary element (physical pole being “lured” by the mental pole)?
Thanks,
