Hi. I am Nita Gilger. I live at Possum Kingdom Lake in Texas. I am a retired Disciples of Christ Minister and early childhood professor. After retirement from full-time ministry, my husband and I managed a 5,000 acre ranch as caretakers and event planners. Now, in full retirement, I am a writer for Open Horizons and have been largely introduced to Process Theology from Dr. Jay McDaniel. I am also a part of the Interfaith Group in AR led by Jay and Sophia. In addition, I am a Congregational Care Minister and Elder for University Christian Church in Fort Worth on the TCU campus. I have lived for several years in Africa as an exchange student and later as a missionary in publications work. I concur with St. Francis that nature is the first bible. Much of my writing embraces the beauty, teachings, and power of nature as my teacher. Process thinking is life-giving to me and makes enormous sense. I am so grateful for Patricia’s great work and look forward to learning from her and all of you.
